The Oregon Rural-Urban Project (‘ORUP’) is a three-phase initiative of Oregon Braver Angels that  began in 2022  to address and bridge the serious divide between rural and urban Oregonians.

To achieve this goal, the ORUP team is bringing rural and urban Oregonians together in Town Halls and Moderated Discussions (MD) throughout the state to seek common ground and develop mutually agreeable suggestions for bridging the divide. The project will culminate in a report of key recommendations and supporting data that will be released to the public and presented to the State Legislature and Governor.
